Bollywood dream

With A Bollywood Dream, the artist confronts herself in her first self-portrait. A work built in layers, repainted through a process of acceptance. The figure embodies the duality between being and performance: the dancer who interprets, who shines, who inhabits the stage while integrating her light and shadow.

It represents the scene of a film of Indian cinema. The majestic sari is the one worn by Madhuri Dixi in the film Devdas.The mural is Mughal inspired.Detail in golden bread on the head of the woman in the form of halo.To obtain the skin tones, several layers of fine glazing were necessary with the technique of sfumato.The result is a oil painting work of great hyper realism, luminosity and beautyness.
